Solar, generator and public utility
One of the biggest challenges to the successful deployment of ICT in schools is power. We were strategic in the deployment of our energy/power policy.
Our school is located in the Executive Business District in Awka the capital of Anambra State and as such enjoy over average hours of electricity from the public utility. However, we have a no blackout policy. So we place our lighting and our learning facilities on the installed solar power unit system. The generator set and public utility are used as alternatives, thus making sure we have no reason to have to be out of power.
